New Online Housing Selection Process
Accepted students will receive an email from Student Development/Residence Life approximately a month after being accepted. Students will learn about their housing options from the brochure they receive and will be directed to rank their housing preferences in the housing selection area of their myWheaton account.
Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the date and time which you submit your housing preference information online. Accepted students are encouraged to complete the online housing application even if the student has not yet confirmed his or her enrollment at Wheaton. The housing application is used only as a guide in placing students, however, and does not guarantee a student his/her choices.
Residence Hall and roommate assignments are emailed in July (mid-December for spring semester applicants) to students at their myWheaton accounts, allowing maximum flexibility in arranging housing for our students.
Roommates are assigned according to the choices a student selects on their online housing preference form. Roommate requests must be mutually submitted online before June 1.
Room Furniture Setup
All of our room furniture is stackable and designed to allow students to be creative with how they would like to set up their space. It is very common for students to rearrange their rooms multiple times throughout the year as they see other room setups and get settled in.
