Types of Events
Main Events
These are our large-audience events for any class, any student, and any phase of the career journey. A few of our Main Events include:
- Internship Exploration, an openhouse with student presenters to answer internship-related questions
- Networking Night, a chance to build professional connections with alumni
- Externship Day, a one-day job shadowing program
and more.
Workshops
CVC Workshops are 30-minute crash courses in everything that a student needs to know about career prep! Conveniently scheduled between Tuesday-Thursday classes, our workshops include:
- How to build a resume
- How to network
- How to search for a job or internship
and more.
Class Events
These are CVC events designed specifically for certain classes. The goal of Class Events is to provide more individualized resources for the different career milestones that each class faces. Some of these events include:
- WAY5 (For first-years)
- Sophomore Focus
- The Senior Series
and more.
Career Fairs
The CVC offers at least three career fairs a year, including:
- Part-Time Job Fair (on and off-campus employment)
- Fall Career Fair
- Spring Career Fair
Each of these events hosts 30-50 employers who are actively hiring for part or full-time jobs, internships, rotational programs, and more.
