Opening Night

Wednesday, September 19 – 5:30-7:00

Come for a cook out as we introduce Canvas to the Class of 2021! Tonight is about kicking off the series, having some fun, and exploring the role of faith on your journey.

What's Your Story?

Tuesday, October 9 – 5:30-7:00

Over a family-style meal, you will develop your unique stories through small group facilitated discussion. You will discover how your life experience, interests, and dreams can generate ideas about possible career directions.

Telling Our Stories

Tuesday, November 6 – 5:30-7:30

Resumes. Elevator pitches. LinkedIn profiles. Business cards. This energetic event will be centered on your story-telling tools. An elevator pitch competition will send one lucky person home with a prize. You will also have the opportunity to get a professional photo for those LinkedIn profiles!

Career Exploration: Internships

Wednesday, November 28 – 5:30-7:00

One of the best ways to explore careers is through internships. At this event, you will have a chance to talk with upper-class students about their internship experiences in a range of professions. They will share their advice on getting internships, what skills they developed, and what they enjoyed the most!

Declaration Dinner

Thursday, January 24 – 5:30-7:30

This is the culminating event in the Canvas series and is an opportunity for students to come together as a class to celebrate their chosen major alongside faculty and alumni. Making connections, delicious food, and an inspiring keynote address will shape this event into a meaningful milestone for your class.
