Following the meeting, Northwoods and Equestrian students will board coach buses and drive North while the Urban students will board vans and head to Chicago.
Wilderness Introductory Meeting
There is an introductory meeting for students and parents at 3:00 pm in in the Billy Graham Center. After the introductory meeting, with the guidance of their small group leader, students will pack their backpacks or dry bags* for their trip. Your luggage for the "CONVERGE" part of Passage (where all tracks Converge at HoneyRock) will be sent up to HoneyRock and will be waiting upon your return from the wilderness. After dinner*, buses will depart for wilderness destinations.
*Backpacks/Dry Bags and Dinner are provided by HoneyRock
Campus Storage in Fischer Hall and Smith/Traber Hall will be available between 10:00am and 2:00pm on the first day of each Passage track for all students who are driving to Wheaton College or flying to Midway or O’Hare airports. If you are a transfer student who will not be living in Fisher or Smith/Traber, you can still store your things in either storage location while on Passage.
This is the beginning of an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime transition. We're covering this day, along with the whole Passage experience, in prayer. Before your student boards the plane to Chicago or the bus headed up North, don't forget to take a moment and dedicate this next step to the Lord.
Return to Wheaton
Students will return to Wheaton College the afternoon of August 23. Parents are welcome and encouraged to meet students when they arrive on campus! This is a great opportunity to help your student move in and participate in New Student Orientation.
