The Assistant Counselor program offers high school students a hands-on ministry experience in leading and developing the next generation of campers. Offered by invitation only, this program further develops young leaders who have excelled in 2:22, Venture, or Service Team. The AC’s spend a summer at HoneyRock growing in their faith and leadership abilities as they work alongside college-age counselors in residential camp cabins. Participants will help teach cabin Bible studies and will assist with wilderness campouts and in activity areas. Applicants will be selected on the basis of maturity, experience at HoneyRock, past counselor recommendations and ministry involvement during the school year.
We strongly encourage families to attend Family Day at the end of their camper's session.
Transportation to and from Wheaton, IL or Rockford, IL is offered for Assistant Counselors!
*Camper Deposit Refund Policy: The $150 deposit required to secure your camper’s spot is non-refundable. However, we will issue a full refund if there is a medical or family emergency. We will also refund your deposit if, after receiving financial assistance and discussing a payment plan, our assistance is inadequate to meet your needs.
