Billy Graham Scholarship Program History and Mission

The Billy Graham Scholarship Program (BGSP) began in 1975 as one of the ministries of the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center (WCBGC) which "combines research and study in evangelism and world mission with scholarly excellence for service to the church and society."

Even before the Billy Graham Hall was completed on Wheaton College's campus, scholarships were awarded to equip key leaders for significant ministry opportunities in order to strengthen the Church of Jesus Christ worldwide.  Two key missions-minded businessmen began endowed funds that have fueled the scholarships for over 1000 Christian leaders to date.

We are thankful for their vision.

For the majority, the dream of an advanced degree leading to a more effective ministry would not have been possible without this financial assistance.

Billy Graham Scholarship Program Mission

The Mission of the Billy Graham Scholarship Program is to provide funding to key Christian leaders from all across the globe to attend Wheaton College in order to obtain a higher level of education and training to better serve in the ministry to which God has called them.
