BGC Scholarship History and Mission

The Billy Graham Center Scholarship Program (BGCSP) began in 1975 as one of the ministries of the Billy Graham Center (BGC) which "combines research and study in evangelism and world mission with scholarly excellence for service to the church and society."

Even before the BGC building was completed on Wheaton College's campus, scholarships were awarded to equip key leaders for significant ministry opportunities in order to strengthen the Church of Jesus Christ worldwide.  Two key missions-minded businessmen began endowed funds that have fueled the scholarships for over 1000 Christian leaders to date.

We are thankful for their vision.

For the majority, the dream of an advanced degree leading to a more effective ministry would not have been possible without this financial assistance.

BGC Scholarship Program Mission

The Mission of the Billy Graham Center Scholarship Program is to provide funding to key Christian leaders from all across the globe to attend Wheaton College in order to obtain a higher level of education and training to better serve in the ministry to which God has called them.

The Billy Graham Center

The BGC is committed to developing and mobilizing Jesus-followers to share their faith winsomely and wisely. We do this by training and resourcing leaders and lay Christians to develop a lifestyle of evangelism.
