The Wheaton College Endowment

Make a Gift Today

Long-Term Support for the Mission

Wheaton College’s endowment helps provide long-term financial support for the College’s mission. It is made up of many individual funds, each established to support specific needs of the institution. These funds are invested carefully to generate income, and a portion of that income is used each year to support the College while preserving the original gifts for future generations.

By managing the endowment responsibly, Wheaton demonstrates its commitment to wise stewardship, financial strength, and its Christ-centered mission. Endowment support is directed to the areas that matter most to the College and its students.

Endowed Scholarships

Every gift to Wheaton’s endowment helps advance the College’s Christ-centered mission and supports students for generations to come as they prepare to serve Jesus Christ in the world.

One meaningful way to give is by creating an endowed scholarship. More than 900 families have already established scholarships that make a lasting difference in the lives of Wheaton students.

With a minimum gift of $25,000, you can create an endowed scholarship in a name that reflects what matters most to you, such as your family name, in honor or memory of a loved one, or inspired by meaningful Scripture. With a gift of $50,000 or more, you may also choose how the scholarship will be awarded.

“I knew I wanted to do something in the medical field from a very young age. This scholarship, along with the other scholarships that I've received, is definitely the reason I am able to pursue nursing at Wheaton. When I met Pattie at the donor dinner, she was absolutely lovely. I loved getting to hear a little more from her about the scholarship, like why it was started in honor of her mother and how passionate her mother was about nursing.”

“The scholarship honors my mom, Evelyn Birdie Skriba. I think she was influenced by the deaths of her parents to go to nursing school. After having four children, she began to think, ‘I really would like to finish, and I really would like to pick up the nursing career.’ My mom was a labor and delivery nurse, and she was well loved by her colleagues and her patients.

I was already giving to Wheaton, and a development specialist who had gotten to know me asked if I would consider creating a scholarship in honor of my mom. I saw that this scholarship could be a way to show Christ’s love to other people. If you're thinking about it, do it. Allow God to choose you, and if possible, mentor and support this next generation.”
