Adult Classes (gr 9-adult)

6-week art immersion classes in watercolor, colored pencil and ceramics for high school students and adults.

Watercolor 

  • Fall session 1 SEPT 13–OCT 18, 2017

Watercolor is a versatile medium with a vast range for expression. Patricia will lead students through basic sketching skills, perspective, composition, values and techniques. Classes consist of weekly demonstrations and individualized help.

Colored Pencil

  • Fall session 2  OCT 25–DEC 6, 2017 (no class 11/22)

Broaden your drawing skills with colored pencils. Patricia will teach students basic composition, color theory, value and form. Learn how to balance layers, vary pressure and strokes to show shadow and highlight details. Classes consist of weekly demonstrations and individualized help.

Ceramics 

  • Spring session 2  FEB 21–APR 11 (no class 3/28 & 4/4)

Students will learn various techniques of hand-building, wheel-throwing and sculptural design while creating objects with clay. Projects cover form and function as well as multiple glazing methods.

Open Studio

MONDAYS, 6-8 pm
CSA registered visual arts students grade 6-adult are eligible to attend Open Studio on Monday evenings from 6-8 pm during the semester at no additional cost! This is a great opportunity for the students to have more time to create in a studio environment. Students may work on their CSA lesson or create independently.
