In His Own Words
Hello! My name is Max Heidelberger, and it’s my pleasure to serve students on their journey to Wheaton College.
I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, and first visited Wheaton during a road trip through the Midwest to explore liberal arts schools in the region. I was immediately struck by the students I met on campus. Excited about both their Christian faith and their academics, these Wheaton students characterized a community that was not only serious about scholarship, but about the Kingdom of God as well. The four years I spent as a part of that community as an undergraduate were among the best of my life. Whether it was preparing for a medieval literature exam, leading high school students through Wheaton’s summer programs at HoneyRock, or playing intramural soccer with roommates and friends, I was being formed in faith and in knowledge, in mind and in body.
My experience at Wheaton launched me into graduate study at Princeton Theological Seminary (NJ), where I deepened my understanding of theology and education to serve Christ in the academy. Having spent three years in the Northeast following a path that began at Wheaton College, I’m delighted and blessed to come home to Wheaton to represent this place to prospective students. As your Northeast admissions counselor, I’m excited to share my love of Wheaton with you, and to pray for you through this process as you consider Wheaton among your college options.
