For Sammie, writing is like "move-in day. You pack up your room, bring many of your belongings to your dorm, unpack them, and hope that you can make your new room more comfortable when you have finished. Unsure of what to unpack first, you are forced to dive in. This is similar to writing a paper. You arrive at a paper topic after days, maybe weeks, of research and a lack of clarity on where to begin your paper. You throw yourself into your paper hoping that your thesis guides your writing and encapsulates the idea that kicked off your research."
