Martin Cluelow, BS, MM, MA
Martin Cluelow has taught and tutored English as a Second Language (ESL) for over 20 years. In addition to his work as a writing consultant for ESL and graduate students at the Wheaton College Writing Center, he teaches adult ESL at the College of DuPage (COD) and also teaches ESL as a volunteer at a local church. Additionally, he has been a Business English language coach for international business people on assignment in the United States. His experience includes working with a wide range of students and clients, from beginner to advanced ESL learners. Prior to his work at Wheaton College and COD, he was employed in the computer industry for over 30 years and held a variety of positions, many of which involved writing proposals, contracts, documentation, presentations, and teaching materials.
He has a BS degree from Duke University, an MM from Northwestern University, and an MA in Intercultural Studies and TESOL from Wheaton College.
For Martin, writing is like "cultivating a bonsai: an interactive, iterative, and expressive activity whose result can be appreciated and enjoyed by others."
