Kevin Harrison is currently a Chicago-based freelance musician. A graduate of Truman State University (BM) and DePaul University (MM), he has studied with some of the world’s leading instructors including Floyd Cooley, Warren Deck, Charles Vernon and Steve Seward in addition to numerous clinics and lessons by such renowned artists as Gene Pokorny, Daniel Perantoni, Jennifer Montone, Michael Sanders, Roger Oyster, and members of the American Brass Quintet. He is a member of the award-winning Axiom Brass, a quintet that has quickly established itself as one of the leading contemporary chamber ensembles. He also holds the Principal Tuba position with the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Saint Louis Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Ballet and Opera Orchestra, and the Aspen Festival Orchestra to name a few. Mr. Harrison’s demand as a musician and clinician has led him to orchestra and band tours, solo appearances, chamber performances, clinics, masterclasses, lessons, sectionals, and coachings throughout the United States and Europe.
