Dr. Lederhouse faithfully and creatively prepared Christian educators to teach all students to flourish, believing that the liberal arts provide the best foundation for a teaching career. Dr. Lederhouse served the department as chair from 2007 to 2015, advocating for students, her colleagues, and the teaching profession. Most recently, Dr. Lederhouse functioned as the Faculty Vice-Chair for two years, representing her colleagues effectively and conscientiously.

Dr Lederhouse authored two books: Life lessons through a teacher’s eyes (2008) and Teach like a disciple: Exploring Jesus’ instructive relationships from an educational perspective (2016).
