Cherith Lundin's Work
Cherith Lundin’s drawings, paintings, and installations are inspired by a deep interest in the poetics of space, the metaphoric potential of the window, and the fleeting and temporal nature of light and color. Her work takes, as its starting point, the architecture of everyday life, including corners and doors, walls and gardens. In luminous meditations on the nature of perspective, limitation, and longing, her work subtly shifts the focus away from that which is seen and toward the experience of seeing, as she investigates the ways in which perception is shaped by place, movement, and time.
