Intern at Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC
Lydia Kang interned this past summer at Samaritan's Purse, in their Boone, NC headquarters. Samaritan's Purse is an international, Christian humanitarian organization that offers aid to hurting people around the world, all in the name of Jesus. During her internship, Lydia helped recruit physicians onto the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART), put together a legal DART "negotiation packet," and assisted the Campus Relations team in various other tasks.
"Through this internship at Samaritan's Purse, I truly learned what it looks like to combine your hands and your heart in a vocational setting. For the first time, I felt I was using my gifts and talents for a deep mission I truly believed in: providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world, all in the name of Jesus. I met so many amazing people along the way, from my coworkers to fellow interns, to other SP staff. I feel incredibly blessed and thankful to have had this opportunity, and I am forever changed as I learn that it is God who orchestrates my steps!"
