Corie started her career in healthcare administration after graduating from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. She served in various patient services and practice management roles for 14 years before transitioning to part-time work to be home with her three children.

Previously she worked in the Health Professions office at Wheaton College as Community Partnership Coordinator, helping connect students to experiential learning opportunities and guiding them through their professional school application process. Her family moved away temporarily in 2022 but the wonderful Wheaton community pulled them back. Corie spent many years as a classroom volunteer at Longfellow Elementary School, she homeschooled her children during the pandemic and most recently worked as a middle school substitute teacher in Savannah-Chatham County public school system. She is delighted to be joining the Education Department full-time as the Senior Office Coordinator.

Corie enjoys teaching yoga and Pilates locally and keeps busy spectating at her children's soccer, baseball and competitive dance events.
