Shawn has worked at the Wade Center since 2003. Her responsibilities include a wide variety of clerical duties as well as managing VII sales and article submissions, welcoming visitors, giving presentations and tours to visitors and school groups, designing and creating museum displays, and various archival projects. She particularly enjoys copy editing VII and creating the museum displays.
Shawn has a B.A. in French from Wheaton College and a M.S.Ed from Northern Illinois University. She and her husband Pete have two sons and daughters-in-law, and one grandson. Bible study and memorization have been life-long commitments and ministries. Shawn enjoys bicycling, motorcycling, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, stained glass work, playing percussion, handbell ringing, and of course, reading.
