Charles’ responsibilities include conducting research to support integrated marketing; crafting strategies and plans in partnership with College marketers; serving as a key brand steward; leading initiatives for the College brand; maintaining brand guidelines; and providing consultation on brand strategy and marketing to partners throughout the College. As Editor of Wheaton magazine, Charlie conceptualizes, produces, and manages content for Wheaton College's award-winning publication.
Charles earned a B.A. in literature with minors in comparative religion and biblical and theological studies from Nyack College in New York. After a time in church ministry in New Jersey, he became an editor with PR Newswire, a global news and marketing solutions company. He found his way to Wheaton College in 2014 where he earned a master's degree in History of Christianity. While working on his master’s degree, he served on pastoral staff at a local church and contributed to Wheaton magazine as a writer and editorial consultant. He came on as the editor of Wheaton magazine in 2017, and then began supporting brand strategies for the College in 2019. Charles is originally from New Hampshire, but now calls Westmont, IL home with his wife and two children. Charles and his family are members together with Peace of Christ Church, a neighborhood-based missional church in Westmont. In his spare time, Charles enjoys being in the outdoors, cooking, and reading nonfiction.
