Visitor Information

Location and Parking

The BGC Archives is located at 500 College Avenue in the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. The Manuscripts Reading Room is on the third floor of the Center in Room 307 inside the Special Collections Commons.

Visitors may use the designated "W" or "W/C" parking spaces in the adjoining lot. Parking in these areas may result in a non-registration notice, which visitors may return this notice to the Parking Office at no charge. Any campus visitor planning to spend more than one week at the BGC Archives is eligible to receive a temporary parking permit by contacting the Parking Office (630.752.5558). Visitors will be ticketed for these two areas.

The BGC Archives is also accessible by train via the Chicago METRA system. Wheaton College is located on the Union Pacific Line between the College Avenue and Wheaton METRA stations. For visitors traveling by train, use the College Avenue stop and walk four blocks west to the Billy Graham Center. Please consult the Chicago METRA system for current fees and schedules.

Accommodations

Rooms: For on-campus housing, the Wheaton College guest home, Harbor House, is located three blocks from the Billy Graham Center (510 N. Washington St.) and has limited rooms that may accommodate visitors. For more information and to check availability, please contact Kristin Irvin, the Harbor House caretaker, at 630.752.7321.

For rooms in private homes near the college, please contact the Wheaton College Housing Services Office at 630.752.5427 or reslife@wheaton.edu for a list of available local rooms. 

Hotels: See the Wheaton College Travel Portal. No hotels are within walking distance of the college. Hotels closest to the Billy Graham Center are located in Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, and Naperville.
