Why can't I hear Chapel services live on the internet?
The Wheaton College Chaplain's Office has requested the Chapel not be webcast on the internet. The statement of the Chaplain's Office is as follows: "The College has made a deliberate decision to exclude the Chapel Service from the live internet broadcast. This has been done in order to protect the integrity of the Chapel worship. The focus of Chapel is the corporate worship of the College community assembled in Edman Chapel. The intended audience is not 'the world'. Specific Chapel messages appropriate for wider broadcast can be selected from a designated menu."

Why do I have problems playing WETN's online audio or video files?
Accessing much of the audio and video content on the WETN web site requires the free RealPlayer or Windows Media Player software (depending on the file type that you are trying to access). If you are not sure that these programs are installed on your computer, click the links above in this paragraph to download and install the programs. If using RealPlayer, choose the "free" or "basic" option when downloading and installing.

What are the challenges in broadcasting soccer games?
Most Division III programs where Wheaton plays away soccer games are able to provide little or no accommodation for the broadcasting of soccer games.  In such cases, WETN needs to use a cell phone to broadcast the game, but unfortunately problems can sometimes arise with poor cell phone coverage or cell phone reliability during a two to three hour broadcast.  Perhaps someday better facilities will be available for the coverage of such contests. In the meantime, WETN will continue to do its best to provide play-by-play of away matches using whatever means are available.

How can I support WETN?
There are several ways.  First, please tell others about WETN and our Internet service.  We have tools to help you do that (static bumper stickers, pens, notepads, refrigerator magnets, and mouse pads), each with our web site address.  Second, remember that we rely on listener support to fund station operations.  Your gift can be sent to WETN, Wheaton College, 501 College Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187.  You may also give online. Finally, please remember to pray for us as we seek both to train students and reflect the work and mission of Wheaton College to the world.
