Museum

The Marion E. Wade Center features a museum that showcases memorabilia and rotating wall displays which highlight selections from our collection of books, letters, manuscripts, and artifacts. Through these exhibits we invite our visitors to explore more deeply the seven authors' lives, writings, and historical context in which they lived.

Pauline Baynes: A Lifetime of Illustrations
The Wade Center museum is proud to present an exhibition featuring the life and works of Pauline Baynes. Pieces in the exhibit include: original drawings for Prince Caspian from the Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis, other fantasy-themed illustrations, a selection of published illustrated works, as well as new paintings by Ms. Baynes based on Psalm 8. The Psalm 8 illustrations have been published in a limited edition book entitled Psalm 8: How Excellent is Thy Name, available only at the Wade Center.

Other current museum exhibits include:
"Dorothy L. Sayers and Dante"
"George MacDonald: Faith and Imagination"
"G.K. Chesterton's St. Francis of Assisi"
"C.S. Lewis's 'tales of adventure'"
"Charles Williams's The Place of the Lion"
