The mission of the Wade Center is to collect, preserve, and make available to the public all writings related to these seven British authors: Owen Barfield, G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald, Dorothy L. Sayers, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Charles Williams.
The Kilby Reading Room, named in honor of Clyde and Martha Kilby, is a quiet space available for use by anyone interested in reading or researching these authors. Readers are required to register to use the Reading Room, but there is no fee. The Wade Center materials are non-circulating.
