Intensive Training in TESOL through the ICCT
The Institute
for Cross-Cultural Training (ICCT) is offered each summer
during the month of June on the campus of Wheaton College.
This 3 1/2-week institute provides a comprehensive introduction
to the field of English language teaching.
Through
an exciting program of large and small classes, taught by
a variety of visiting professors and specialists, students
gain a solid introduction to the field and practical skills
to take into the classroom. They can also earn up to eight
hours of credit toward the Certificate or M.A. in TESOL. A
teaching practicum class in the evenings, offered in conjunction
with World Relief's ESL program, allows a number of participants
to gain experience as a teacher in a supervised context.
To ask
more specific questions about the ICCT, you can contact the
Director, Dr. Lonna Dickerson, by e-mail: Lonna.J.Dickerson@wheaton.edu
