Meet Orientation Committee!

ted

Ted Cockle

As Student Director of Orientation Committee, everything Ted touches turns to silver. Silver screen, that is. Ted enjoys filmmaking and has made movies spanning a wide spectrum of subjects, some of his favorites including "Traber Invasion", and "Superman Loses His Tights". That's the same enthusiasm Ted puts into his work with OC. His encouraging spirit and unparalleled wit make him Orientation Committee's favorite Fearless Leader (and only for that matter). Ted is enjoying his second year with OC.

ashley
Ashley Rydberg

What do Minneapolis, English Writing, and Espanol have in common? Why of course - Ashley Rydberg! Running-and-coffee-loving Ashley is often called by her childhood epithet "Smash" for her destructive tendencies. Her early-childhood career included flying off bike jumps, getting knocked unconscious playing football with the boys, and splitting her lip open every hour on the hour. Ashley is known for her profound words and her loving spirit. She transferred into Wheaton this past year and is now a junior.

bill Bill 'iBox' Waits

Bill Waits is a junior History major from Newburgh, Indiana. It's known fact that he and his younger brother still play basketball on a Fisher-Price kiddy goal in their basement. At the age of 19, though it's more destructive than cute, it just goes to show that Bill takes the word "exceptional" and kicks it up a notch. If Bill was a first-world country, he would lead the Western Hemisphere in "Most Punches Per Capita" due to his former amateur boxing participation in high school. He is looking forward to Orientation and can't wait to meet the new students.

bill Matt Morgan

Hailing from Moorestown, New Jersey, "Matty Mo" is gifted with a passionate spirit and a love for people. Outside of that, he's an incredible athlete. On the lacrosse field Matt has been known to travel at the speed of light and with the grace of a panther. Matt is also known for his persuasive and alluring people skills. He once got Orientation Committee a 15% discount on groceries at Piggly Wiggly. Matt is a senior and is majoring in Communication.

marissa Marissa Hunt

Due to her astounding vocal talent, Marissa Hunt has been known to woo Prince Charmings from every tribe, tongue, and nation.  However, while in highschool, to the dismay of all of her possible suitors, she read I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris.  Marissa is a junior Biblical Studies major from southern California who frequently daydreams about tea parties with rainbows, teddy bears, and Ted Cockle.  She's also ridiculously cute.

david David Lee

David, aka D-Fresh, aka D-Lee, excels in air jamming to 80's metal music, winning blue ribbons for his homemade biscuits and gravy (ask him about it - great story!), and making people laugh with his rambunctious sense of humor and free spirit.  He mesmerizes the ladies in his world-renowned pink tie-dyed shirt as he works towards majors in Business and Christian Ed.  David is a junior from Wheaton, IL.  He has a newfound obsession with hip-hop and can be spotted, from time to time, spinning on his head in downtown Wheaton.

mc Mary Claire Frazier

At the age of three she announced to the world that her childhood dream was to "Be a Daddy". Her name: Mary Claire Frazier. These days, Mary Claire is constantly amazing us with her encouraging smile and indefatigable optimism. These are reflective of her southern charm, as her home anthem is "Walkin' in Memphis". 'MC' hopes one day her unrequited love for David Lee will be returned, and while she waits she captains women's lacrosse here at Wheaton and is studying English Literature.

adam temple!

Adam Temple

In high school, Adam Temple was the lead vocalist/screamer for a rock band.  Now he's moved on to bigger and better things: inhaling twinkies.  Adam is addicted to Q-tips, snowboarding back home (Colorado), and he idolizes Christian Bale.  He's a senior Applied Health Science major who transferred into Wheaton as a sophomore.  Adam is a joyful, lovable goof.  In a word, he's the coolest. EVER.

Meehee Seo

Meet Meehee Seo, pronounced "Soh" or as we like to say, "WOW!" As a junior International Relations major, Meehee holds the reigns on all horses.  Meehee once visited a monkey temple in Bali where a monkey stole her camera and her earrings. She has been known to complete entire corporate tax returns with nothing more than an abacus, a golf pencil, and a Bon Appetit napkin, and is recognized for her infectious smile and warm inviting presence.

Grant Diamond

Grant Diamond initially had mixed feelings about Wheaton.  When his Mom told him they were visiting, Grant threw one of his infamous hissy fits. "Mom I'm not visiting some random Christian school I've never even heard of." She forced the visit, he toured the campus, fell in love with it (or was it the beautiful tour guide?) and hasn't looked back since.  Grant is a sophomore Political Science/Communications major from the Washington D.C. area and plans to use his Wheaton education to control people and take over the world...for Christ and His kingdom.

Jill Ridderbos

"The Jill," as we so affectionately call her, has made it her life goal to travel across the universe in a blimp. No joke. She owns at every sport, activity, pastime, and every other term for things you do. Jill is a joy to be around, is truly genuine, and is so stinking creative. Photography, drawing, and other artsy endeavors bow down in the face of "The Jill." She is a sophomore from St. Louis and is looking forward to her next year at Wheaton.

Avery! Avery Bright

Avery Bright comes to us from a dairy farm in Missouri where he's grown up milking cows and shooting things.  That's really all you need to know about Avery, but we'll tell you a little more.  He has an amazing sense of fashion and plays the fiddle like...well, a fiddle.  His encouraging personality is only rivaled by his enthusiasm for people.  He's a loyal friend and an irreplaceable member of Orientation Committee.  Avery is a junior in the Conservatory of Music, majoring in violin performance.
