OUR MISSION
The mission of the Student Activities Office is to mobilize student leaders in a variety of out-of-classroom experiences to shape the culture of campus. It is in this context that we are committed to challenging students to explore and develop a realistic sense of self-understanding, to live effectively in community and to grow in understanding of their giftedness.
College Union: to promote a sense of Christian community and shape campus culture by providing Christ-centered campus-wide programs and opportunities for building friendships.
Orientation Committee: to welcome new students and assist them in making a successful transition to the academic and cultural environment of Wheaton College.
Student Government: to serve as the official voice of students in academic, institutional, and campus affairs and provide services and programs that respond to campus needs and interests.
Solidarity Cabinet: to transform students by raising an awareness of race, ethnic and cultural issues and mobilize them to live out the gospel message of reconciliation.
Clubs and Organizations: to equip students to pursue a wide range of interests and concerns, offering experiences such as fund-raising, public relations, organization, administration, and budgeting.
Event Scheduling Management: to provide and manage a centralized source of information for scheduling of planned event dates, times, and facilities.
Todd M. Beamer Student Center: to serve as a center for the campus community; a centralized co-curricular and social gathering place—a family room for the College, a space for students to “hang-out”—as well as provide services, offices and educational and recreational programs that enhance the quality of college life.
