News Releases
News releases alert news editors to noteworthy events across campus and allow them to follow up on the article idea. Please read the following guidelines before submitting a news release:
• A name and phone number of main contacts must be included at the top of the news release.
• Answers to Who, What, Where, Why, When and How should be in the news release.
• News releases should be single-spaced in a Microsoft Word document.
• Use short words, short sentences and short paragraphs.
• News releases must be submitted two to three weeks in advance of the event, not afterward.
