News
The News section is committed to accurately portraying news that affects the campus and the lives of students.
News reporters learn interviewing and reporting techniques and how to write concise news articles that conform to Associated Press style. After working for the news section, reporters will have improved their communication and research abilities.
The news editors assign story ideas to reporters; however, original story ideas from new writers are encouraged. Reporters work with news editors on assignments. Editors will edit articles to check names, sources, facts and the structure of each story. Reporters are expected to be reliable and keep in contact with editors.
If you would like to be a reporter for the news section, please contact news.record@wheaton.edu.
