Scholarships
Leadership with Compassion
If selected for an Army ROTC Nursing Scholarship,
the US Army will fund your tuition and fees (up to
$20,000), $450 a semester for books, and $250 - $400
per month during the school year for studying.
If you meet the following requirments you are eligible:
If you -
Scored a minimum 920 SAT or 19 ACT.
Are or will be a high school graduate.
Are 17 years old before your scholarship is effective
and younger than 31 in your expected year of graduation.
If
nursing is your professional goal, there is no better
place to begin your career than in Army ROTC. Army
ROTC offers you a unique opportunity to gain practical
experience while you receive financial assistance
for college.
You have chosen a demanding profession. Medical emergencies
require a cool head and clear thinking. Making the
most of your skills, building a sense of confidence,
and helping you realize your leadership and management
potential are what Army ROTC is all about.
As an ROTC nursing student, you will be able to combine
college electives in military science and invaluable
nurse summer training experience with your regular
nursing program. You will develop your professional
skills while you learn meaningful things about yourself
and what you can accomplish.
Upon completion of the program (and provided all
prerequisites are met), you will receive a commission
as an officer in the Army Nurse Corps, ready to take
on the challenges of your profession. You will find
that your Army ROTC experience has taken you a long
way toward realizing your professional goals.
Lewis
University in Romeoville, Illinois is a fully accredited,
well respected, four year university offering the
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Lewis University
also awards room and board for Army ROTC scholarship
winners.
Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois
is also a fully accredited, well respected BSN program
at a uniquely Christian college. If awarded an Army
ROTC Nursing Scholarship to ONU (with the same benefits
as listed above), the university provides free room
and board. ONU currently has one of the top nursing
cadets in Army ROTC.
