Paul Chelsen
Vice President - Student Development

Paul Chelsen served as the interim successor to Sam Shellhamer, his predecessor, with the title Senior Student Development Officer. In this capacity he did a remarkable job, with great appreciation from all. Before that he served as Wheaton’s Director of Residence Life for ten years.

A graduate of Wheaton College, Paul obtained his MA from Ball State University and is completing his doctorate at Loyola University in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

After graduation from Wheaton, Paul worked at Ball State University, Coe College, North Central College, and the University of Illinois at Chicago in a number of Student Development capacities. He was appointed to his Vice Presidential position in 2009.
