On September 21, 2006, pre-law students attended the Cabrini Green Legal Aid Clinic's benefit dinner in Chicago at tables hosted by Douglas Colber , a Wheaton College and Northwestern University Law School alumnus.
On September 25, 2006, pre-law students attended the Americans United for Life's benefit dinner in Chicago .
On October 6, 2006, Trevor McFadden, a Wheaton College and University of Virginia School of Law alumnus, gave a presentation on law school admissions, law school life, and careers after law school.
On October 23, 2006, Jeffrey Brauch, the Dean of the Regent University School of Law, gave a presentation on the Christian lawyer's calling.
On October 30, 2006, Kaplan proctored an LSAT practice test.
On November 6, 2006, Christine Bodewes, an attorney who organized legal aid and human rights clinics in the slums of Nairobi , Kenya , spoke about international human rights work.
On November 14, 2006, pre-law students went on a field trip to the University of Chicago School of Law. The group attended a constitutional law class and met with a student and a professor who are Wheaton College alumni.
On November 19, 2006, pre-law students attended a Red Mass and a brunch reception honoring United States District Court Judge Joan Lefkow, a Wheaton College alumnus.
On January 25, 2007, pre-law students watched the movie Breaker Morant , a feature film based on the true story of a court martial during the Boer War.
On January 29, 2007, pre-law students attended a workshop on financial aid conducted by the Pre-Law Advisor.
On February 10, 2007, Princeton Review proctored an LSAT practice test.
On February 24, 2007, Kaplan proctored an LSAT practice test.
On March 14, 2007, pre-law students attended a panel discussion on the legal profession conducted by three alumni attorneys, Cheryl Aleman (a judge), David Iglesias (a former JAG and U.S. attorney), and Barry Pea (corporate attorney).
On March 15, 2007, Bethany Tatman, a Wheaton College alumnus and a law student at the George Washington University School of Law and University of Iowa College of Law, gave a presentation on law school admissions and law school life.
On April 11, 2007, Richard Garnett, a Visiting Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School and an endowed Associate Professor of Law at the Notre Dame Law School, gave the Kamm Memorial Lecture on “Two There Are: Understanding the Separation of Church

On September 7 th , pre-law students attended the Cabrini Green Legal Aid Clinic's benefit dinner in Chicago at tables hosted by Douglas Colber , a Wheaton College and Northwestern University Law School alumnus.
On September 15 th , James Skillen, the President of the Center for Public Justice, gave a presentation on Christianity and public law.
On September 24 th , pre-law students attended the Law School Forum, a law school admissions fair organized by the Law School Admissions Council and attended by virtually every accredited law school in the United States .
On October 7 th , the Pre-Law Society sponsored a showing of the movie A Few Good Men , and David Iglesias, a Wheaton College alumnus and the United States Attorney for New Mexico, gave a pre-show presentation on the differences between the movie and the actual trial since the defense attorney played by the actor Tom Cruise is based on David Iglesias.
On October 12 th , Ken Starr, the Dean of the Pepperdine University School of Law, gave a talk on his law school.
On October 13 th , Heather Creed, the Director of Student Relations at the Baylor University School of Law, gave a talk on the law school admissions process.
On October 25 th , pre-law students took a free, proctored, on-campus LSAT practice test.
On November 1 st , pre-law students attended the Notre Dame Law School 's Chicago Admissions Information Reception and networked with admissions representatives and Notre Dame alumni.
On November 15 th , the Pre-Law Society sponsored a panel with two Wheaton alumni who are currently trial attorneys to discuss a career in litigation.
On January 19 th , the Pre-Law Advisor held a workshop given by on law school financial aid.
On January 26 th , pre-law students attended a free, on-campus seminar by Kaplan on law school admissions and LSAT preparation.
On January 27 th , the Pre-Law Society sponsored a showing of the movie The Rainmaker and the Pre-Law Advisor led a post-showing discussion on the movie's portrayal of law school and the practice of law.
On February 21 st , the Pre-Law Advisor held a workshop on law school admissions in which students reviewed and evaluated actual application materials from individuals applying to law school.
On February 25 th , pre-law students took a free, proctored, on-campus LSAT practice test.
On March 17 th , Prof. C. Scott Pryor of the Regent University School of Law gave a presentation on secular and Christian law schools.
On March 23 rd , Dr. Carol Swain of the Vanderbilt University School of Law gave a presentation on getting into and surviving law school.
On March 29 th , Prof. William J. Stuntz of the Harvard Law School gave a presentation on being a Christian in the secular professional world.
On April 10 th , the Pre-Law Advisor held a workshop on drafting personal statements for law school applications.

Pre-Law Society
The Pre-Law Society is a student-led organization designed to foster Christian ideals in its members as they prepare for law school and the legal profession. The Pre-Law Advisor is the faculty advisor for the Pre-Law Society.

Pre-Law Studies Certificate Program
Wheaton College offers the best preparation for law school - a strong liberal arts education program. Although students at Wheaton College do not major in pre-law studies, students considering a legal career may take advantage of any number of majors at Wheaton College that develop cognitive abilities for critical analysis, reading comprehension, written and oral expression, and logic. In addition to their majors, some students may wish to pursue courses that focus on the law and related matters. The Pre-Law Studies Certificate Program is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide a concentration of course work that supports the future study and practice of law.
The Pre-Law Studies Certificate Program requires students to take 24 hours of courses from the following three groupings:*
- Required Core Courses: 6 hours
- Introduction to Law
- An internship with a practicing legal professional
- Law-Related Elective Courses: 10 hours from at least two departments
- Business Law
- International Law
- Philosophy of Law
- American Political Thought
- Constitutional Law
- Crime and Delinquency
- Supporting Elective Courses: 8 hours from at least two departments, one of which is not elected under the Law-Related Elective Courses.
