WETN wants to offer you some relief from the summer heat. For 24 hours on Friday, July 25, Christmas music will take over the airwaves—for a special Christmas in July celebration.
As Thursday is coming to an end and Friday is beginning, Christmas music will emerge at the stroke of midnight on WETN and continue all day Friday—until midnight. The holiday tunes can be heard in the western (Chicago) suburbs at 88.1 FM or around the world at www.wetn.org.
WETN is known for its vast library of Christmas songs—ranging from traditional favorites to eclectic, sacred to popular and classic to current. With over 2,000 Christmas songs, the WETN audience will enjoy an array of celebrated ensembles and popular artists from the past and present. Listeners can enjoy this Christmas music on July 25th, as well as during WETN’s Soundtrack for Christmas from the day after Thanksgiving through New Year's Day.
WETN is also giving away a variety of gifts and prizes all day long. Morning show host Joy Curry will add to the Christmas in July merriment from 6 to 10 am CDT. The show will feature guests, big giveaways (including gift cards to Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, passes to Six Flags Great America, gift certificates for the international online floral/gift shop FTD.com), and much more.
