Chicago Symphony Orchestra

The Artist Series at Wheaton College presents the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in concert at 8 pm Friday, November 16.

Maestro Nicholas Kramer will lead the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in concert at Wheaton College, November 16, 2007.Maestro Nicholas Kraemer and principal trumpeter Chris Martin will lead the orchestra in an exciting evening of Handel, Haydn and Telemann. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra plays more than 150 concerts a year, but this will be the group’s only event in the state of Illinois not performed in the Symphony Center this season. We invite you to hear this world renowned orchestra perform even closer to home.

The concert is in partnership with McCormick Tribune Foundation, Wheaton Eye Clinic and Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. It will be held in Edman Memorial Chapel, located on the northeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets in Wheaton (campus map).

Individual tickets range from $33 to $53. Discounts are available for seniors (60+), students, and groups of 20 people or more. Seven- and four-concert subscriptions are also available. To reserve your seats, contact the Ticket & Information Office at 630.752.5010 or www.artistseries.org. Online orders may be placed through Wednesday, November 14.

The Artist Series is also offering a free, pre-concert lecture by Dr. Jonathan Saylor. Join in the conversation at 6:45 pm, in Blanchard Hall Room 339, located at 501 College Avenue in Wheaton.
