 Wheaton College Ticket & Information Office Coordinator Laurie Eve Loftin is awarded the 2007 DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau SMILES award.
The DCVB SMILES award goes to "front-line" staff, who work directly with the public, and do it with a smile. Recipients have proven excellence in service, magnificence, imagination, learning, enthusiasm, and satisfaction.
17 applications were submitted for the award this year. Laurie was recognized for serving as the face of Wheaton College for many visitors, faculty, staff, students and alumni. Laurie helps folks out with directions around campus, town and the county, and always has her finger on what's happening. She is quick to respond, and usually with a laugh. On top of her regular duties, the campus community also visits Laurie for her "Joke of the Week."
The Wheaton College community is delighted to applaud Laurie and join in her recognition. All are encouraged to stop by the Ticket & Information Office, located in the Student Services Building on campus (campus map), to congratulate Laurie and experience her excellent service.
