The Artist Series at Wheaton College presents renowned Branford Marsalis, one of the world’s leading soprano saxophonists, joins Filharmonia Brasileira in a performance conducted by Gil Jardim 8 p.m. Friday, October 24. Marsalis will solo throughout most of the evening in a program including works of Brazil’s great national musical hero Heitor Villa-Lobos and France’s jazz-influenced genius, Darius Milhaud.
The concert takes place in Pierce Memorial Chapel (campus map), located at the southeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets in Wheaton. Ticket prices range from $42–$48 for general admission with discounts for students and seniors over 60.
