Teleconferencing/Video Conferencing
Video conferencing at Wheaton College is a video phone system that can connect to other IP or ISDN video conferencing systems.
There is a permanent system located in Media Resources in a room seating 3 or 4 people comfortably. A portable system can be located most anywhere on campus where there is a computer data network connection.
There is not a set-up and orientation charge for class use of Media Resources video conferencing systems, but users other than classes will be charged for set-up and orientation. There are usually no additional costs unless the remote site incurs some connection fee.
To schedule a video conference, call Michael Rhoadarmer at x5171 or e-mail Michael.R.Rhoadarmer@wheaton.edu. Please provide the following information to test and set-up your event:
- Video conference phone numbers to test
- Contact name and phone number of who will be handling the technical support on the other end
- Dates and on-campus location.
