Workshops
Instructional Technology Services provides training in several
software in classes and one-on-one. The software versions taught
in classes are the most up-to-date editions sold in the Wheaton
College Bookstore. A link to a workshop schedule and registration
information for fall semester 2006 will be placed on this page when
that schedule is available. In addition to regularly scheduled workshops,
intensive technology training weeks are held the first week of January
(before classes resume) and after Commencement.
Classes include:
PowerPoint Basics. Covers the basic skills to create
dynamic presentations. 2 hours.
Beyond the Basics with PowerPoint. Digs deeper
into the capabilities of the program. 2 hours. This workshop is

Using PowerPoint Interactively in the Classroom.
Provides insights to build flexibility into your presentation. Prerequisite:
Experience using PowerPoint.
Image editing with Adobe Photoshop Elements. Learn the
basics of photo editing and scanned image editing. Full-time faculty
and academic secretaries qualify for a $25 discount on the software
at the bookstore. 1 ½ hours. This workshop is offered

Setting Up a Course Web Site with Web Course Tools (WebCT).
WebCT is a course management software designed for faculty to use
the Web to support their classes. 1 ¾ hours.
