Consultation

Instructional Technology Services
David Kletzing, Ph.D., Manager, x5172
Beth Johanson, M.A., x5350
Julie Giles, M.A.I.S., x5334

In addition to workshops, Instructional Technology Services offers consultation in several areas:

Instructional Design. Consultation is provided in Instructional Design
for the development of courses or course modules. Typically, the process begins with the professor’s objectives, the content, and student characteristics. The process then moves to identify high or low tech solutions including Web Course Tools (WebCT), digital video or audio support, web pages, and presentations. Please contact David Kletzing for more information.

Web Page development and site management with Dreamweaver. For those who have already learned Dreamweaver, but have specific questions to accomplish goals on the web, call Beth Johanson.

SCALA Setup/Training. Click here for SCALA helpsheets/instructions or call Beth Johanson.

Presentation development with PowerPoint. There may be a “must succeed” presentation coming up before a professional society, colleagues, or a class. Or a question of how to do something special with PowerPoint. No beating heads against the wall! Call David Kletzing.

Image editing. Faculty and staff often have questions about image formats and customizing pictures to fit a specific need, such as a web page or PowerPoint. Either David or Beth would be glad to answer these questions.

Encoding. To learn how to encode (record video/dvd into a computer), edit and produce DVD's or windows media files, call Beth Johanson.

WebCT issues. Web Course Tools is a very deep program, and everything isn’t covered in the workshops that we offer. For specific questions, call David Kletzing or Julie Giles for a personal consultation.

Online testing with Respondus and/or WebCT. For those interested to use the web to support classes with diagnostic or summative testing, call David or Julie.
