LATINO EVANGELICALS IN AMERICA
The Latino community is a constant growing force in the United States. According to a recent study of U.S. Latinos in 2002, of the 35.4 million Latinos in the U.S., about 23 percent (almost 8 million) identified themselves as Protestants or other Christians. Of this group, 6.2 million consider themselves Evangelical or "born-again." For more details on this report, visit Latino Religion in the U.S.: Demographic Shifts and Trends.

In 2003, the University of Notre Dame's Institute for Latino Studies published with funding from Pew Charitible Trusts a report on Hispanic Churches in American Public Life: A Summary of Findings (PDF) written by Gaston Espinoza, Jesse Miranda, and Virgilio Elizondo. This report highlights the revolution of Latinos and their influence in the United States.
