 Hastert Essay Competition

Micah DennisFall 2013’s winner of the Hastert Center Essay Competition is Micah Dennis for his paper, “Legitimacy Lost: How the Muslim Brotherhood Undermined the Legitimacy of the Egyptian Government.” Submissions were judged based on scholarly contribution, clarity, originality, and organization by a panel of faculty readers from the Department of Politics and International Relations and Business and Economics.

The competition is designed to encourage and recognize excellence in academic research writing related to the nexus of economics, government, and public policy. For more information on the program, view the application (PDF).
