Program Distinctives
As a Ph.D. student in biblical and theological studies, you may focus on either biblical theology or systematic/historical theology. Our program model is distinctive in its combination of
- full funding (free tuition plus stipend) for all students
- concurrent work on the dissertation, from the beginning, alongside other requirements (enabling faster completion)
- pursuit of integration between biblical and theological studies
These are just a few of the ways our program stands out. Please review the full explanation of our program distinctives to learn more.
Mentors
Our program has a strong emphasis on academic and personal relationships between students and faculty. Doctoral students will be be able draw on the resources from their specific mentor, the Biblical and Theological Studies faculty, as well as faculty in related disciplines at Wheaton College. Applicants to the program will choose a mentor and corresponding research interest.
