Summer
2008 Field Camp:
This summer was the year for the geology major track at the Black Hills Science Station. Geology students had a blast learning geology in the field. The next geology major track will be available in Summer 2010.

Summer
2004 Geology of England & Wales Trip:
During the month of May 2004, six students took a
jump across the Atlantic and had the fantastic experience
of an eight day tour of the Geology of England. Retracing
the steps of the fathers of modern Geology, they traveled
from southern England's Dorset coast, through Cornwall and
into Wales. They examined the Sidmouth exposure of Old Red
Sandstone, the ophiolite complex at Coverack, the South Wales
coal fields, the glaucophane schists of Anglesey, and the
home of William Smith. Dr. Chris Walley, formerly of the American
University of Beirut, provided outstanding trip leadership. Click here
