Professional and Personal Interests
Besides being an associate professor and the director of the Masters in Evangelism and Leadership degree, Rick is also an Associate Evangelist with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Rick has been in campus ministry for 20 years, regularly speaking and ministering as an evangelist on campuses in many different parts of the country. Rick is an ordained Anglican priest and served for three years as Pastor of Evangelism and Small Groups for Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton, Illinois, a church known for its healing prayer ministry. Rick received his M.Div. from Northern Baptist Seminary, studying with Ray Bakke, focusing his studies in evangelism and urban ministry, and was Area Director for InterVarsity’s Chicago Urban Ministry for a number of years.

Rick seeks to bring together his passions for evangelism, prayer and racial reconciliation in order to cast vision and equip an emerging postmodern generation in ministry for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Rick also enjoys fly fishing, hiking in the Colorado mountains, and reading fantasy literature. His secret ambition is to write a science fiction/fantasy novel.
