Dr.
Harold Netland has lived much of his life in Japan, including
ten years as a missionary educator working with the Evangelical
Free Church of America. He was in Kyoto for one year and in
Tokyo for eight years. For part of his time in Tokyo, Dr. Netland
taught at Tokyo Christian University. He has also taught at
Biola College and Talbot Theological Seminary. Dr. Netland's
areas of expertise include religious pluralism, epistemology
of religion, apologetics, and missions in East Asia.
Dr. Netland and his wife, Ruth, reside in Vernon Hills, Illinois.
They have two daughters, both in college. In his spare time,
Dr. Netland enjoys reading, hiking, music, sports, and skiing.
