Department Chapels
Once each semester, the chemistry department gathers to have departmental chapels. At these chapels, we take time to reflect on the ways the God is active in our lives. We also announce the student recipients of departmental awards.

National Mole Day
We gathered to celebrate National Mole Day at 6:02 pm on October 23, 2002. This is the day to celebrate the mole, or Avagadro's number which is 6.02 x 1023. All of the faculty and students joined for fellowship, fun and pizza and some really corny mole jokes!

Christmas
The holidays are
always an exciting time. Finals exams, traveling home, hurrying to get those last minute gifts ... But even in the midst of all of the rush of the season, we can take time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and fellowship with each other. We always look forward to the Chemistry Department Christmas party, and especially the skits produced by each class, as well as the faculty skit.

Celebration
Our graduating seniors are honored on the morning of commencement each year. The Chemistry Department hosts a breakfast for the seniors and their families to celebrate their outstanding accomplishment, to say goodbye and to thank the families for sharing their lives with us.
