Although
Marlene has a long career in Christian publishing, seemingly
she can't leave the campus scene. She continues contact with
academics through work at Wheaton and a local junior college.
Her total knowledge of chemistry is H2O = water. She thinks
the Chem Profs are fantastic and truly enjoys working with every
member of the Chemistry Department. Fun parts of her workweek
are visits from the Prof's children. She keeps a stash of neat
stickers in her desk and loves to see the children's eyes sparkle
when they get new ones.
Marlene has one daughter, who lives and works in New York City,
and one very spoiled dog. Her favorite activities are reading,
writing, gardening, cooking, and having lunch with students.
She is actively involved in her church.
