Language Coach Workshops

Language Coach Workshops (LCWs) are week-long workshops for those who work with language and culture learners. Our LCWs equip coaches (those who work with on-field learners) with practical preparation for helping their personnel to be more successful language and culture learners.

Beginning in 2009, we will have an extra day of pre-workshop sessions primarily for those who have not attended one of our 2002 - 2008 workshops. These sessions will provide a basic foundation so that all coaches will be ready to participate fully in the 2009 workshop.

Those who attend represent a wide range of learning situations—some work with organized programs such as those in language schools, others oversee learners who use tutors and learning materials, and some assist learners who have few if any resources other than a network of native speakers.

Whatever their learning context, those who come to our workshops have one thing in common—they come to get some practical help in meeting the needs of their language and culture learners.
