The ICCT Summer Programs
The Institute for Cross-Cultural Training
(ICCT) offers a summer program sponsored jointly by the
Billy Graham Center and Wheaton College Graduate School. For three
weeks each June, ICCT offers practical preparation
for those planning to live and work overseas.
Most courses can be taken for credit or non-credit. In addition,
we offer programs for children whose parents are enrolled in ICCT
courses. The
next summer program will be June 15 - July 3, 2009.
The summer program consists of:
-
A second language acquisition course
which equips language learners to combine learning in a formal
program (language school or tutoring) with community-based
learning, or to learn entirely on their own without the help
of formal programs. Each participant in this course also receives five years of free e-mail support.
-
Three TESOL courses that provide
a broad foundation for an ESL/EFL-teaching ministry either
overseas or in North America. Each participant in these courses also receives five years of free e-mail support.
-
A foundational intercultural communication
course which prepares Christians for cross-cultural
living and ministry.
