Don and Martha Hoke arrived in Japan in 1952 as missionaries. Not long after
that, their mission asked them to take over a small Bible school in Tokyo and
raise its academic level so that it could be accredited as as a college. Don
became president of Japan Christian College (called Tokyo Christian College
after 1966). The Hokes remained with the school until 1973. Below is an earlier
newsletter, sent to supporters in the United States. The date is ca. 1955.
