NYBORG: Yes.

ERICKSEN: What was that event like?

NYBORG: Well, I was...that was...he started...I think he started like May 30th, or whatever, somewhere around there. And went June, July, August, and finished Labor Day weekend with a rally at Madison Square Garden. Every night, it was a rally at Madison Square Garden night after night, and it’s just a tremendous event to see that place packed, night after night for months. And we were part of this...the counselor group that worked with people after. And then a very interesting thing we did was...the Graham organization committed to high school evangelism fellowship, the follow-up of high school students. And there were several thousand of them. And so we took our high school kids and trained them in follow-up, and then we went around with them, all of the neighborhoods during the summer months, and got in touch with high school kids all over the metropolitan area. And out of that came some new clubs.

ERICKSEN: Now what was it like setting up a club from scratch?

NYBORG: It was...to set it up with new converts was a very exciting thing, because they were ready to go. These new converts were excited about Jesus Christ, everything was new- the Bible was new, training was new. So it was just a thrilling, thrilling time. It was a great, great time. They were a witnessing bunch of kids, and they witnessed naturally [unclear] and bad habits, as second-generation Christians get into, where things become commonplace and they’ve lost the thrill. It was a good experience.

ERICKSEN: Now how long were you involved in that?

NYBORG: It was a one year program.

ERICKSEN: Okay.

NYBORG: We followed up during that summer, and we continued to follow up during the year, as well as have high school clubs during the year. And then after that I went back to Columbia Bible College, the final year to finish up.
